Initial Plans

Price: I will publish my magazine at £3.50. This is because 'Q', another Indie magazine that publishes monthly, offers their magazine at £3.99. I will charge less than 'Q' as 'Q' is already an established brand and can offer there magazine at a premium price, however I woudn't go below them by much as I still need to make a profit. Frequency of publication: I will publish my magazine once a month. This is because during my research I found that quality magazines such as 'Q' and 'The Fly' publish monthly. Also I believe by publishing monthly enough events will have happened in the indie genre for me to be able to get enough information for feature articles. Size of Publication: I have chosen to have 60 pages in my publication. This is because it is between the size of 'The Fly' and 'Q', which are both monthly productions. Regulars: I will include reviews, a gig guide, bands of the week and competitions to music events for example a festival. Features: Interviews with different artists within this genre of music.
