Rags To Riches
The
Twenty-One year old Daniel Green has
always had a deep obsession for music ever since he got his first guitar at the
age of six. His mother was always an inspiration to him and fed his passion for
the Indie genre by forcing great bands like the Kooks and the Libertines upon
him, now he is ready to make a name for himself with his own very unique, but
very Indie style.

Were family important in realising your
dreams?
my
family were always a massive source of inspiration for me. I look towards my
memories and a psychologist he taught me how to use my nerves as an energy
source and use them to help my performances rather than detriment them.
There’s
a fine line between nerves taking control of you and being able to manage them,
I believe experience is the easiest way to learn how to control nerves.

Do you experience nerves when you
perform?
I
think nerves are a natural part of performing whether it’s your first time or
you’ve been performing for years. I’ll admit that at the start of my career I
struggled to control my nerves.
I let them overcome me and it impacted massively on my
performances. It was horrible, I knew I had what it took but I couldn’t show
the world. I started seeing a psychologist he taught me how to use my nerves as
an energy source and use them to help my performances rather than detriment
them.

What are your favourite musical memories?
I’d
have to say going to ‘The Streets’ gig when I was a young teenager. I had grown
up on their music and seeing them live was a dream come true.
“I want to share the music with as many people as
possible”
I was
concerned they weren’t going to live up to my expectations but they did just
that and more. I was in awe of Mike Skinner he was unbelievable and it only
fuelled my desires to make it more, I wanted to be like Mike Skinner more than
anything.

What are your long-term
career plans?
To be
honest I’ve not given it a lot of thought, I’d love to be a massive hit just
because I want to share the music with as many people as possible.
I
won’t lie and say the money and fame aren’t an incentive but at the end of the
day the reason I do this is purely to share my passion. I love the music that’s
why I’m here.

Would you like to teach one day?
Absolutely! I’m far too busy at the moment
with performing and writing my songs but potentially one day at the end of my
career I’d love to teach.
I can
see myself being a vocal coach or a guitar instructor, it’s a dream of mine to
inspire the next generation of people to create music and share in my passion.
Speaking
to Daniel it is clear that the future of music is in good hands. His talent
speaks for
itself and he has the tenacity and the determination to go all the way.
